Learn about famous artist David Hockney and his colorful landscape paintings. Christine Thornton will teach you how to draw from observation, making a small study of one of his paintings.
The video and Facebook post will be available at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 8 and stay open until the end of day Monday, June 14. You'll have seven days to watch the video, so you can go at your own pace. Watch the video here.
SUGGESTED SUPPLY LIST:
If painting:
- Watercolor paper (or any thick white paper)
- Pencil and eraser
- Watercolor paints (any kind will work; the instructor will be using watercolor pencils)
- Paint brush (medium sized with a pointy tip, or whatever you have on hand; the instructor will be using a pointed round number 10)
- Cup of water
- Napkins
- Thin black sharpie for outlining (optional)
If Drawing:
- Drawing paper (white, thicker than printer paper) or a sketchbook
- Pencil and eraser
- Colored pencils
- Thin black Sharpie for outlining (optional)
