Professional storyteller Linda Gorham will share the story of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s youthful experiences with segregation that gave him the impetus to march, write and speak out.
The Great Read was created in 2004 to promote literacy, reading, conversation and community. This year’s Great Read is proudly presented by Fountaindale Public Library District; Joliet Junior College; Joliet Public Library; Lemont Public Library District; Plainfield Public Library District; Plainfield School District 202 and White Oak Library District.
